Abstract: The author considers a polyphonic in the cultural situation of the present and about its place in mass literature. As one of the characteristic phenomena the author distinguishes a certain break of literature canon and more active cooperation of semantic fields of high or classic literature and mass literature. Those features of mass culture as the poetry of everyday life, esthetic of glamour, escapism are examined. Also he questions of literature sociology, connected with peculiarities of forming and functioning of the modern book market and their interaction in the literature process in general are raised.
