Listening to the mythological voice: feminist archetypal criticism about the women's creativity

Abstract: The review represents of a number of studies on femininity developing Jung's archetypal theory. The women's creative experience is admitted in this case as the important process of individuation leading to achievement of the Self. Tales, myths and ancient knowledge is the field where researchers carry out “archaeological digs” looking for lost symbols and rhythms of femininity. Special consideration given to C.P. Estés's work “Women Who Run with the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype”.
