A Hero's Journey to the "Mystic Country" in the Short Story "Fingal" by Samuel Beckett

Abstract: The article considers the specifics of chronotope and the plot in Samuel Beckett’s novella «Fingal», the second part of the novel «More Pricks than Kicks». It is supposed, that Fingal as a region is connected with deep mythological, literary and historical allusions. The contrasts of the image of Belaqua Shuah are revealed in a new way due to the spatial allusions.
