Explanation and Definition: Specifics of Textual Organization

Abstract: The article compares two speech genres — explanation and definition — in order to prove that both these genre, despite the difference in content and intention, are formed by one type of text — explanation. In each of these genres explanatory text has specific structural and semantic organization, but within the framework of the same functional-semantic type of speech.
