STRATEGIES OF WORK WITH NOSTALGIA FOR THE SOVIET IN CONTEMPORARY RUSSIAN CINEMA

Abstract: The article is devoted to the strategies of work with nostalgia for the Soviet in contemporary Russian cinema. Necessary conditions for the emergence of nostalgia are: the feeling of defective present, causing dissatisfaction with the various groups, the presence of material evidence (things, architecture, images, movies) of the past. Today we witness the construction of nostalgia for the Soviet by means of mythologizing, commercialization, aestheticization of nostalgia objects. At the same time there are different strategies to overcome nostalgia: demythologization through representation of a repressive practices («Driver for Vera»/»Voditel dlya Veri», P. Chuhrai 2004), deconstruction of nostalgia objects, in particularly, nostalgia for patriotism («Riorita» P. Todorovskii, 2008), for Soviet childhood («Pioneer-Heroes» / «Pionery-Geroi», 2015, N. Kudriashova), for the 60-th («The Thaw» / «Ottepel’», 2013, Valerii Todorovskii; «A Film about Alekseev» / «Kino pro Alekseeva», 2014, M. Segal).
