«LIKE A SHIP CALL, SO IT WILL FLOAT»: DEFINITION OF THE LITERARY PERIOD

Abstract: Literary period of the late XX-early XXI centuries arose on the ruins of Soviet literature, requires naming. The last quarter-century Russian literature first encountered the powerful socio-cultural challenges (litteraturcentrum crisis, transformation of literary field, demands of new post-Gutenberg era, revision of cultural values, commercialization of literature, etc.). The complexity of the objective analysis of this literary epoch is also connected with the notion of «incompleteness». The article presents the results of a survey of contemporary writers’ definitions of modern literary era.
