Abstract: Self-consciousness is an important manifestation of subjective position of pupils in education. The reader's selfconsciousness is linked with the awareness and assessment of yourself as a reader. The article presents the experience of creating a school reader's blog. The school blog is as a way of organizing extra-curricular reading. Reader's blog has a significant meaningmaking potential. The author offers methods of formation of reader's self-consciousness. The setting for the actualization of the reader's consciousness is deliberately created in the blog. The consciousness of the reader manifests itself in the dialogue with the interlocutors, reflection, assessment of works. The methods of forming a reader's identity in the blog are proposed in the article: a discussion of the rights of the reader, the project of the exlibris for family libraries or for blog, the virtual exhibition of favorite teacher's books, the self-esteem of the reader by generalization and systematization of knowledge by acquaintance with the «Brodsky's List», creating a list of books that everybody should read, a list of books for parents, presentation of the books, a flashmob, the essay competitions «My book of the year», «The lines written for me…» ore reviews-cards. The view of today's schoolchildren about the value of books and reading is confirmed by the analysis of their statements and creative works. School reader's blog becomes a space of dialogue and value orientation of pupils. Communicating in the blog takes on the characteristics of self-organization with non-linear developments. You can talk about the synergistic ways of organizing the process of formation of self-consciousness of the reader in terms of open education. The article presents the pedagogical experience can be transferred to schools and libraries.
